CHIEF EXECUTIVES IN BATTLE FOR TOP JOB

The Chief Executives of Weymouth and Portland Borough Council and West Dorset District Council could go head to head for a new job which will see only one person in charge of both local authorities. Plans to merge the staffing structures of Weymouth and Portland and West Dorset District Council will make savings of £8.5m pounds.
POLICE PATROLS ON TRAIN

British Transport Police will be patrolling on board the last train from Weymouth to Bristol Temple Meads on Saturday night to combat an increase in antisocial behaviour and alcohol fuelled violence.
