Ploughman's Supper with Racing & Raffle
SERO are a small group of ladies who, during the last six years, have raised almost £40,000 for Julia's House and other local charities. They invite you to join them in their latest fund raising venture --a Ploughman's supper with Racing and Raffle at The Exchange on Saturday March 13th at 7.30 pm. The first race will take place at 8pm.
Tickets at £5, to include the ploughman’s supper, may be purchased in advance from Sweet Solutions, Corner House, Station Road, Sturminster Newton. (Tel: 01258 473817) Bar available on the night.

Dad's Fun Day
The ‘Dads’ Fun Day’ is being held on Saturday 13 March from 10.30am till 3pm at St Osmund’s Middle School in Dorchester.
Organised by Dorset County Council's Sure Start unit, the idea is to give dads and their children a chance to enjoy a day out together with fun activities. It costs just £1 per family and is suitable for the under 8s.
Activities include:
Sports, crafts, toys and games
Drumming
Birds of prey and flying displays
Theatre stories
Chalk carving
Cookery
Fossil hunting
Search and rescue
Baby play area
Emergency services are also supporting the event by putting on displays.
Families from across Dorset are welcome

RO:TORO
Ro:toro play traditional Estonian melodies, with a piper, an improvising saxophonist, an electric guitarist and a quirky percussionist who uses plastic bowls in water, bicycle wheels and tin foil to create his rhythms! They have been collecting the songs Khant (speakers of Khanty, from remote parts of Russia), all to be included in their concerts as well as a flat foot waltz and lots of polkas to dance to!

The Light Cavalry Band will transport you back to the Roaring Forties, at this special themed Hanger Dance. Wartime in Britain was austere, but we still knew how to let our hair down, with the best jazz and big band music direct from America.
This special nostalgic evening includes an authentic wartime style 3 course meal, and guests are encourage to dress in the style of the early 1940’s – be it in uniform, in mufti, or something more elegant…
Booking early is essential, as tickets are limited. Places are available individually or in tables of a maximum 10 guests.

Dinner Dance commences at 7.00pm and Museum doors will open at 6pm, giving you an hour or more to browse through the Museum. Please note that seats are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Tickets £25 to include 3 course meal.
