One-time screening of the film "Embrace"

Odeon Dorchester, Drayhorse Yard, 3 Weymouth Ave, Dorchester DT1 1GS

This event is a one-time screening of the film “EMBRACE", a social impact documentary that explores the issue of body image. Watch the trailer at: https://bodyimagemovement.com/watch-the-embrace-trailer/ Embrace is told from the point of view of director Taryn Brumfitt, who posted an unconventional before-and-after image on the internet in 2013 that sparked an international media frenzy. Taryn traverses the globe talking to experts, women in the street and well-known personalities about the alarming rates of body image issues that are seen in people of all body types. In her affable and... effervescent style, Taryn bares all (literally) to explore the factors contributing to this problem and seeks to find solutions. Tickets can be reserved by visiting the screening web page at https://tickets.demand.film/event/1416 (£9.75 each plus an additional booking fee £0.75). A percentage of all ticket sales will be donated to 'Mind', the mental health charity which provides advice and support to those with mental health issues, including body-image-related disorders and depression. Please note that the screening can only go ahead if at least 64 tickets have been reserved by 5.00pm on Saturday 18 February 2017.
