Alcohol - Know Your Colour

October 19th sees the start of Alcohol Awareness Week.

This year people across Dorset are being asked to ‘rethink their drink' and keep a drinks diary.

Around nine out of ten of us regularly drink alcohol, but how many of us know if we are drinking to dangerous levels?

The recommended limits for women are between 2 and 3 - that's one standard glass of white wine (around 175ml).

For men this is 3 to 4 - which is around one and a half pints, or a couple of normal strength cans.

If you would like to find out more about the Know Your Colour campaign visit our website - which also contains more information about the number of units in some common alcoholic drinks.

Chlamydia is a very common infection, which if not diagnosed and treated can have serious implications for women's future reproductive health.
