West Bay Gets Its Own Day
12:56pm 20th June 2013
Its West Bay Day on the 4 August.
Charities and good causes are invited to join in with what's being billed as a fun filled day.
The aim is to celebrate the area's history and heritage, dating back to 1844.
Various fun activities including: live music, a water polo competition, candles on the quay, stalls and river boating will all be on offer along with an unmissable extravaganza with a connection to the hit drama Broadchurch.
Gillian Summers, Chairman of West Dorset District Council commented: "This should be a fantastic fun day for all the family to enjoy".
She added: "Hopefully there will be a great atmosphere at this year's event and I do hope local charities and regular users of West Bay will join in, help make it a success and raise funds for their own great projects too".
Charities connected to West Bay who would like to apply for a stall, for a £10 donation, should contact West Dorset District Council om 01305 251010.
