Local Primary schools have come together in harmony to make music from around the World in Bridport.
Symondsbury, St. Catherine's, St. Mary's and Bridport Primary have been learning from a London-based group called Musiko Musika, and practising with them for the past three days.
The children have been singing and also learning new instruments such as the pan pipes, bongos and even the odd ukulele!
They performed their World Music Day Concert this morning (20th June), and this evening you can catch the international musicians who taught them on the stage at Bridport Arts Centre at 8pm.
Wessex FM popped down to the final rehearsal to catch the schools' performance and to talk to those involved.
We spoke to Laura Venagas, one of the musicians from the visiting group, who told us she was very impressed by our local teachers, "The London lot sometimes, the teachers don't put as much effort- not all of them- but sometimes we find more in Bridport, they really, really try and work the songs."
Ellis Evans, one of the teachers from Bridport Primary School, told Wessex FM she loved seeing all four schools come together, "It's really been fantastic to watch the children come out of their shell, they were a little bit nervous towards the beginning of the week, but the musicians have really brought them out... they're singing and they're dancing, and they're really happily doing so."
