A new building at Weymouth College to help locals launch their own businesses has officially opened its doors.
The new Enterprise Centre will have staff on hand to offer advice on things like interviews and CV's. There's also an exhibition facility and spec meeting room for local businesses to use inside.
It's open to all, not just students.
Wessex FM went along to the opening where College Principal Liz Myles, South Dorset MP Richard Drax and past students all gave opening speeches.
Liz Myles explained to Wessex FM why they'd created the Centre, "I think, you know, we have a really important part to play in economic regeneration, and the market out there is incredibly tough for young people and we want to do everything we can to make sure they're well prepared. And we think creating this Centre is going to give them the best possible chance of a job."
Lauren Whitehead, whose a member of the resident theatre group, Rummage, and is both a student and a lecturer at the College was full of praise for what the Centre can offer people, "It's just going to give them a really good base in how to start your own business, and the fundamental skills that you need to set up and start your own business. And I think also there's just a great sense of belief that students, if they've got the determination and the commitment, they can go on and achieve anything they want".
