Help With Childcare During The Holidays

10:23am 25th June 2013

Dorset County Council's Family Information Service has details and different types of information about local childcare including child-minders, holiday clubs and nurseries for those struggling with childcare during the holidays.

There is advice on what to look for in a potential child-minder and even questions to ask along with a range of support available to help with costs.

The service also offers an online directory full of ideas and activities to keep the whole family entertained during the school holiday period.

Counsellor Rebecca Knox, the cabinet member for children's safeguarding families told Wessex FM:

"There's a lot for the kids to do in Dorset during the holidays and our online directory allows you to find local childcare and see what's going on in your area."
