A Parade of Service personnel and Veterans will take to Dorchester's streets this weekend to celebrate Armed Forces Day.
They'll be walking from North Square to the Borough Gardens, where there's a civic servic, band concert, and an artillery display from Nothe Fort volunteers.
The Parade will start at 1.25pm from North Square, walking via South Street and Bowling Alley Walk, to the Borough gardens. The Mayor will take a salute outside Barclays Bank in South Street.
The Armed Forces Day Civic Service, the Band Concert, and the Nothe Fort volunteer's Artillery Display will then take place after 2pm in the Gardens.
It all happens on Saturday the 6th of July.
Wessex FM spoke to Derek Beauchamp, Chairman of Dorchester's Armed Forces Commitee, whose helped organise the Day. He told us there was something for everyone, "It's part of the requirement of the Ministry Of Defense that we cater for everybody because, of course, it's Veteran's Day, current Armed Forces and future Armed Forces."
