CCTV Images Released After Assault In Weymouth

Police have released CCTV images of a man they'd like to speak to after a woman was allegedly assaulted in Weymouth.

The incident happened 4.15 and 4.30 in the morning on Sunday 7th July behind the council offices in North Quay.

The victim in her 30's wasn't injured.

Detective Constable Andy Marsh, of Weymouth CID, said: "Despite the early hours there were several people around at the time of the incident.

"Following enquiries I am now able to release two pictures of a man that I am keen to speak with.

"I believe that the man pictured can help us ascertain exactly what happened.

 "I urge him or anyone who recognises him, to come forward as soon as possible."

The man pictured is wearing a T-shirt that appears to say 'Manhattan' on the front and it is believed that he left The Lazy Lizard bar just after 4am.

No arrests have been made.

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 07:120. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
