What's Dorset's Flavour?

If Dorset had a flavour - what would it taste like?
That's what the organisers of Dorset County Show this year are asking you to come up with.
Once they've collected the most popular suggestions, a specialist will interpret them into one definitive flavour.
The flavour of Dorset will be the first ever flavour for food to be owed by a British county.
Sam Mackenzie-Green, the Dorset County Show Secretary explains the thinking behind this unique initiative: 'Dorset has a widespread reputation for being the food capital of the UK so we thought it would be a great idea to try and capture all the flavours associated with this deliciously flavourful county. As far as we can establish this is the first time a County has ever developed its own flavour and at this stage, we have no idea how Dorset people will vote. The result may be a sweet syrup, a savoury ketchup or a bundle of herbs - we'll just have to wait and see.'
Mackenzie-Green is hoping that the Flavour, once developed, will also excite local producers particularly those who are planning to attend the Show. 'Dorset Food producers are known for their enthusiasm and innovation and I'm sure will be keen to collaborate'.
