Prolific Criminals Targeted In New Police Operation

A new Police operation is underway in Dorset to target prolific criminals and help their victims.
Called Operation Advance, it's been created in response to concerns raised by Crime Commissioner Martyn Underhill.
Dorset Police says the new operation aims to increase positive outcomes for victims of crime, with a target of 1 in 3 by 2016.
They hope it will reduce offending and bring more people to justice, while improving the support given to victims for longer and through legal proceedings.
PCC Martyn Underhill has welcomed the move and a new Detective Superintendent has been appointed to lead all criminal investigations.
