More Time Given to Decide on New Recycling Centre in Bridport

The public have been given more time to look over plans for a new recycling centre in Bridport.

Dorset County Council's planning committee was due to make a decision on proposals today (Friday 26th July) but residents asked for an extension to the public consultation.

A spokesman for the local authority told Wessex FM more information should be available next week and designs could go before September's planning committee.

The new waste centre would be the first new purpose built, household and waste hub in the town for 20 years following the closure of the Bothenhampton landfill site in the mid 1990's.
