Trauma Team Join Fight to Save Portland Chopper

"The Dorset Coast is a high risk area that needs to be protected", that's from a group of senior doctors who're calling on Westminster to save Portland's Coastguard Chopper.
The Wessex Trauma Network run emergency centres up and down the coast and treat the most critical patients who've been rescued by the Helicopter.
They say Ministers plans to scale back launch sites will put lives at risk.
In a ten month period, 25 casualties rescued by the Portland Coastguard Helicopter were deemed to have injuries so life-threatening that landing at the Emergency Department of the local hospital was warranted, despite this contravening CAA regulations.
The Government says fewer emergency hubs will save money and the Portland chopper would be replaced with a faster helicopter based on Lee-On-Solent.
The Portland launch site is set to close in 2017.
