Dorset Farm Shop Gets Four Wheels
8:44am 7th August 2013
We've all heard of farmers markets - but how about one on four wheels?
The Real Food Shop are taking their produce out on the road to villages across the county.
They've been given a grant from the lottery fund and Dorset Community action to create a mobile farm shop.
They've started work on the van which this autumn will bring local food directly to local people with weekly stops in West Dorset.
Project co-ordinator Laurie Walters says "Our smallholders already enjoy access to the processing barn at Fivepenny Farm with its facilities for juicing, butchery, cheese and preserve making. This is going to be a great new way to make this produce readily available to the local community."
