Thieves Steal Expensive Tiles

Tile Theft from Charmouth

8:11am 8th August 2013

Expensive rare roof tiles have been stolen from a construction site in West Dorset.

450 Bridgwater Clay roman style tiles were taken from a property renovation in Charmouth between Thursday and Friday last week.

They're reclaimed stock and have a distinctive rare motif.

You can see a picture at Wessex FM dot com.

Bridport Police are urging other builders to look at how securely they're storing their materials.

These tiles may be offered to anybody carrying out building works locally. The investigating officer, PC 1629 Poe said: "if anybody has any information regarding this crime and is offered these items, please contact me at Bridport Police Station, the tiles are of significant value and much sort after. I would advise anybody who has any building materials stored to review your security".

Alternatively you can call Dorset Police on 101 quoting crime number 13:31498 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
