Film Extras Needed In Dorset

How do you fancy being an extra in a film being shot in Dorset?
Makers of an adaption of the Thomas Hardy Novel – Far From The Madding Crowd are holding a casting session in Bridport on Sunday.
Julie Christie famously starred in Far from the Madding Crowd filmed in Dorset back in the 60’s – but now Director Thomas Vinterberg will give his take on the story.
Local people are needed to take on the roles – which will be mostly based around a rural farming community.
Open casting sessions are being held in Bridport this Sunday 11th August at the W.I Hall on North Street in Bridport. DT6 3JQ
Doors will open at 9.15am and will be finished by 18.30.
Organisers recommend people try to come early as there can sometimes be long queues. You may be disappointed if you arrive late.
Here’s what they’re looking for:
Males - Aged 17 - 40 years - mid to longer length hair, at least 1.5inches at back. (Still time to grow it). Beards, again still time to grow. No visible tattoos (hands, face, forearms) - small ones may be ok.
Males - Aged 40 - 65 years - mid to longer length hair, beards and/or moustaches. No visible tattoos.
Females - 17 - 50 years. Longer natural style hair. No dyed colours or modern cuts. Natural highlights are ok. Hands/Nails should be natural. Natural looking (minimal/no make-up).
They will also be looking for people with specific skills, anyone with Sheep Shearing ability (particularly using hand shearing scissors) and people comfortable around livestock.
There will be a separate casting for children and other ages. We may measure any children who are attending with parents but will be prioritising adults so please don't be put off if we are not able to take their details on this occasion as there will be another opportunity.
