A multi storey hotel for thousands of insects has been built at Abbotsbury Swannery.
Staff member Charlie Wheeler made the accommodation after a large grey poplar fell.
The tree was turned into logs - but instead of burning them - they've been stacked to create a home for species like bumble bees who are in decline.
Charlie said: " We think the Swannery grounds could potentially harbour over 2,000 species of insects. I built The Big Hotel, with drilled dead wood, hollow bamboo and reed stems and other microhabitats, to try fulfil this potential."
