(Updated 8:11am 10th August 2013)

If you're in Bridport today (10th August) you may just see the cream of Dorset's farming crop pulling a ONE TON tractor through the town.

A twenty-strong group from the Marshwood Vale Young Farmers will be dragging the 1964 Massey Ferguson six miles by hand.

They're raising money for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and will be collecting on route.

The event is hoping to raise awareness of the young farmers clubs, an organisation for young people aged between 10 and 26, and is also promoting the Melplash Show, on the 22nd August, who are supporting the pull.

It starts at 10.30am from the Half Moon pub at Melplash and ends at the current Melplash Show ground in West Bay. They will go through Oxbridge, Waytown, Pymore, down Victoria Grove and then into Bridport.

Anyone interested in joining Marshwood Vale Young Farmers can contact James Billen on 07881385850
