Summer Holiday Bookings "Up" in Dorset
10:22am 13th August 2013
Figures from Hoburne Holiday Parks show that bookings for the Summer Holiday are up 10% on this time last year.
Bookings for caravan holiday homes and lodges have increased by a massive 34%.
Hoburne, which was named UK Family Business of the Year, has three parks in Dorset and Hampshire.
Chairman Rosie Kennar said:
"We have enjoyed many years of booking increases now, so we know more and more families have been choosing to stay in the UK for their holiday. But with temperatures soaring to rival the likes of Spain and Jamaica recently, there's little wonder we have been inundated with calls. The touring side of the business in particular is always a concern following a wet summer, but this fantastic spell of hot, sunny weather was just what was needed. The pools are busy, people are enjoying relaxing on loungers with ice-creams and cool drinks and it's a really fantastic atmosphere on the parks."
