Police Appeal After Flat Robbery in Weymouth

A mans had his property ransacked by thieves in Weymouth.

A wardrobe, wall units, a cooker and other personal belongings were taken from his flat on St Nicholas Street in Melcombe Regis sometime Tuesday afternoon (13th August).

Dorset Police a number of personal possessions were stolen.

Police Constable Andy Dickinson, of Weymouth police, said: "This has been an extremely upsetting ordeal for the victim, who has suffered the loss of numerous personal belongings.

"Not only were possessions stolen, but the flat was completely ransacked and left in a state of disrepair.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have information about this burglary, or saw any suspicious behaviour prior to and after the incident took place to come forward.

"I am confident someone may have seen these large items being removed from the property and possibly loaded onto a vehicle."
