Paralympian Helena Lucas Takes to the Irish Seas
8:25am 26th August 2013
Weymouth Paralympian Helena Lucas starts five days of action today in the IFDS Disabled World sailing Championships at Kinsale, in the Republic of Ireland.
She's scheduled to have 10 races in total in the 2.4metre class, two each day.
Helena's predicting tricky sailing conditions.
'It's going to be really shifty, it's pretty tidal as well so I think its going to be a difficult event', she explained.
'As far as I know all the good guys are going to be competing-the best of the best, so its going to be a really good regatta from that aspect,' she continued.
Helena's had podium finishes in three previous IFDS World Championships, most recently on home waters in Weymouth in 2011.
