Pensioner "Frightened" After Burglary in Weymouth

Burglary, Greenhill, 29 August 2013

12:44pm 29th August 2013

An e-fit picture of a man who pushed an elderly woman to the floor during a burglary in Weymouth has been released.

The incident on Greenhill in the Melcombe Regis area of town happened just over 3 weeks ago, on Friday 9th August.

The thief forced his way into the property and took cash from a bedroom drawer before he was challenged by the 87 year lady, who was forced to the ground.

Dorset Police say the woman wasn't injured but it was nonetheless a frightening experience for her.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to get in touch on 101.

The offender is described as a white man with brown hair, approximately five feet seven inches tall, and aged between 45 and 50. He was wearing a grey, white and blue chequered shirt with long sleeves.
