Bridport Police Back Anti Fraud Helpline
8:03am 3rd September 2013
Dorset Police has thrown their weight behind a new anti-fraud service to help tackle criminals conning you out of money.
The Bridport Force has published details of the new Action Fraud helpline on Facebook encouraging us to report dodgy cold callers asking for bank details.
If you're suspicious their advice is to ask the caller to "put the information in writing and politely hang up." Officers warn, "you should never give out bank details."
A large number of scam operators call households daily, trying to get people to part with their money.
Special Action Fraud cards available from the front desk at Bridport Police station.
