Spy Buried Near Bridport: Case Now Closed

The case of an alleged spy who's body lies in a Dorset graveyard is officially closed today.
35 years after Georgi Markov, an opponent of the communist regime in Bulgaria was killed with the poisoned tip of an umbrella in London, the East European Country says their probe into what happened will be shut down as their statute of limitations expires.
Markov's body's buried in Whitchurch Canonicorum.
He died of ricin poisioning, four days after the incident on Waterloo Bridge in September 1978.
