Bus Cuts Could Lead To Social Isolation

7:41am 16th September 2013

There's concern cuts to bus services will leave more people living in social housing isolated in Lyme Regis.

Routes due to be scrapped include the X53 Lyme Regis to Devon through the winter, the 71 Lyme Regis Circular and the Summer park and ride.

Critics say many social housing areas are along the routes planned on being cut, and fear this will cause vulnerable people to face social isolation from the town.

Before the plans take shape, local bus users are being asked how the changes will affect them.

The closing date for feedback is September 24th.
