Dorset Fire And Rescue Engine 3

12:03am 22nd September 2013

If you want to learn more about fire home safety whilst getting your cleaned then take you're wheels to Maiden Newton fire station today.

Dorchester Firefighters and St John Ambulance volunteers are taking part in a charity car wash from 10am till 2pm.

They'll also be outside Greenford Primary School.

The Firefighters Charity supports fire crews in their times of need and helps over 13,500 people each year.

As well as this, St John's Ambulance is the UK's leading first aid charity and educated around 800,000 people about first aid last year alone.

Jamie Hockley, a serving member of both services said: "Come along to Dorchester Fire Station Peverell Avenue West in Poundbury and have your car washed in return for a donation raising money for these two fantastic charities. These two worthwhile charities deserve help and support because they provide help and support to so many people who need it".
