Text Election Service Launched in Dorset

cellphone

8:58am 24th September 2013

You'll now be able to text the council to confirm your electoral details are correct.

West Dorset and Weymouth and Portland Council's will be sending out the forms needed to vote in the next elections over the next few months.

When you receive your form, you need to check the details are correct then either send it back to the District or Borough Council.

It's so the council can out together the electoral register.

If you're details haven't changed since last year, then you can reply by email, phone or text.

You can also request that your details are excluded so they can't be sold - or request to vote by post.

For more information contact your local electoral registration office on:  West Dorset District Council 01305 251010 or Weymouth and Portland Borough Council 01305 838299.
