Constable Painting Sells For £5,553

A painting by one of Britain's greatest artists, which was discovered in Dorset has sold for £5,553.

The original work by John Constable is of several Tall Ships was auctioned at Dukes in Dorchester.

Also sold today for £110 were medical notes of Lord Lucan which suggest he might have had surgery to change his face.

Lord Lucan disappeared without trace in 1974 after his children's nanny was found murdered.
