£4.9M Traffic Scheme Goes On Show
8:07am 17th October 2013
You can have your say from today on major traffic plans for Dorchester.
The £4.9 million pound scheme is aimed at improving air quality, enhancing the environment and protecting historic buildings in the county town.
The first stage of the proposals could see High West Street and parts of High East Street become One Way, new traffic signals at the junction of Princes Street and Albert Road and some "banned turns" at Great Western Junction.
An Exhibition starts today at Dorchester Library.
The closing date for comments is Monday 18 November.
The scheme is being funded by Dorset County Council, supported by £1million in developer contributions and £500,000 from WDDC.
