Anger At Plans To Demolish Angling HQ
8:08am 18th October 2013
There's anger and dismay at plans to demolish Weymouth Angling Club and turn it into a car park.
The council want to get rid of the building because they say it's costing them too much money and they could get more revenue from the site.
Andrew Selby is from Weymouth Angling Centre - he says it's the first he's heard of the proposal which will be decided on Monday.
He gave this interview to Dorset's Wessex FM.
Councillor Peter Chapman looks after finance and assets for Weymouth and Portland Borough Council. He's defended the proposals and says they're in the best interests of the tax payer.
