A dance film produced by a Weymouth woman is set to premiere in London and Bournemouth next month.
Stephanie Moon grew up in the seaside town which is also where she started her career as a dancer.
The film called "Love Tomorrow" is about two dancers who meet by chance on the streets of London.
Local producer, Stephanie Moon, from Weymouth trained at London Studio Centre, and later going on to study television and film production as part of her degree programme.
She told Wessex FM:
"Having the film screened in my home county is very close to my heart. We wanted to use the dance element to tell the story in an original way that did not feel contrived," says Stephanie. "Dancers are used to a very theatrical style of acting and we are proud of the natural performances given by both Cindy and Arionel".
"Set in present day London, LOVE TOMORROW is the story of an ex-ballet dancer (Cindy Jourdain, former Royal Ballet soloist) whose life is turned upside down after receiving devastating news. Wandering the underground in a torment of pain and confusion, a chance encounter with a charismatic Cuban dancer, Oriel (Arionel Vargas, Principal of English National Ballet, ENB) offers a temporary distraction. As the night lengthens and turns into day, the frustrations, secrets and wounds of both their lives begin to emerge, and a fragile friendship promises to turn into something more profound."
Awarded Best UK Feature at Raindance 2012, the film will make its release premiere screening at Sadler's Wells in London on Wednesday, 6th November and then screened at the Bournemouth Pavilion Dance Theatre on Monday, 11th November at 2.30pm and 7.45pm, where indie film fans, dancers and local media will view the film for the first time.
