Thieves Steal 70 Year Old Pet Tortoise

7:40am 29th October 2013

There's an appeal out after a 70-year-old tortoise was stolen in Weymouth.

The female tortoise named Tucker, was taken from a greenhouse in Bowleaze Coveway 11 days ago (Friday 18th October).

She's micro chipped and said to be worth around £300.

PC Sally Ludlow, of Weymouth police, said: "The owners are devastated by the loss and urge anyone with any information to come forward.

"I have notified local vets and would also like to hear from anyone who may have been offered a tortoise for sale or may have seen one advertised in strange circumstances."

No arrests have been made.
