Air Ambulance Crews Up For Three Awards

Dorset And Somerset Air Ambulance

12:02pm 8th November 2013

Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance has been short listed in three categories for the Air Ambulance Awards of Excellence.

Paramedics Greg Peacock, Stephen Freeman and Pilot Max Hoskins are finalists for the Special Incident Award.

Dorchester's Keith Wilson is shortlisted for Charity Volunteer of the Year.

And Doctor Farhad Islam - known as Izzy - is a finalist for Air Ambulance Doctor of the Year.

Chairman of the panel, Guy Opperman MP said, "The standard of the nominees was extremely high and it was no easy task to shortlist for each Award as each and every one of them deserves recognition.  However, we feel that we have selected nominees who represent the dedication and commitment of those involved in the excellent work carried out by UK air ambulance charities."

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on the 18th of November.
