Police Council Tax Could Rise

Debbie Simpson and Martyn Underhill

12:10pm 8th November 2013

Dorset Police's share of council tax could go up.

Police and Crime Commission Martyn Underhill will launch a consultation on the proposal next month to increase funds to the service.

The South West's 5 PCC's have written to the Minister Of State over extra cost pressures being placed on Police budgets.

He's accusing the Government of "top slicing" which could divert funds away from local policing.
