John Wesley Preached Here

There's now official recognition of a building in Weymouth that was once used as a place to preach by the founder of the Methodist Church.

Epworth Villa in Gloucester Street owned by John Conway and Allison Chan now has a blue plaque.

It's in recognition of John Wesley, who's name was discovered on the deeds.

The couple have opened a spiritual shop at Epworth Villa called "Mind, Body and Soul."

Speaking to Wessex FM John said: "John Conway told Wessex FM, "it just fits with the rest of the house. I know Methodism is very strong in this area so it's nice to know people will recognise it as being mentioned as the house within Weasley's journals"

He continued: "it's a very peaceful house and we want to offer part of that to people locally and as far and wide as they want to come".
