Keep Warm And Save Money
9:00am 26th November 2013
If you're in Beaminster today - you can find out how to keep warm and save money this winter (26th November).
With rising fuels costs and low incomes to contend with, Dorset Community Action's holding an informal drop in event at the town council offices in Fleet Street.
It's on from 2pm till 6pm - you can just pop along - and they'll also be advice on how to switch energy supplier.
Alex Picot, Chief Executive of Dorset Community Action said: "With winter fast approaching, many families will be thinking about how they can cut their energy bills. These events are a good place to start, with plenty of advice and ideas.
"Evidence shows that rural households are twice as likely as their urban counterparts to struggle to afford to heat their homes, due to lower than average incomes and houses that are less energy efficient.
"Dorset Community Action is experienced at working with communities to help them stay warm and use energy more efficiently. We ran various events last year and we hope that people will come along to these informal drop-in sessions, which are designed to give the most relevant information for Dorset residents. So please look out for further information and dates on our website: www.dorsetcommunityaction.org.uk."
