Bridport Cause Wins Share Of £100,000

Charmouth Cub and Scouts, is celebrating after winning a share of £100,000 in a community vote which saw 12,000 votes, cast from across the country.
The Scouts came third out of 400 local causes nominated as part of Kumho Tyres' 'Cash for Causes' campaign.
The international tyre company pledged to make a difference in local communities over the summer by donating money to deserving good causes.
The Cash for Causes initiative allowed Kumho Tyres to give away more than £100,000 to 400 deserving local charities, groups and projects, through its ECSTA Performance Centre (EPC) retail partners.
Over 200 of Kumho Tyres' EPC retailers across the country signed up to take part in the campaign, each selecting two local community projects they felt deserved a donation. Supporters then cast votes online for the cause closest to their hearts.
It was local retailer Bridport Tyre Specialists, in Bridport, which nominated Charmouth Cubs and Scouts and Bridport 3 Seattle 2016. Both causes and all the others who took part from around the UK will receive a share of £100,000 donation pot.
Commenting on the 'Cash for Causes' campaign Kumho Tyres' marketing director, John Thrupp said: "Helping communities and supporting worthwhile causes is part of Kumho's Korean heritage and emphasises the importance of social responsibilities to companies.
"We've been thrilled with the way this campaign has grown this year, votes were incredibly close up to the last moment and we'd like to say well done to all the causes which took part."
