Growing Demand For Dorset Made Cheese

Demand for a particular cheese made here in Dorset is "higher than ever".
Ford Farm says they're preparing for their busiest Christmas and have taken over a million orders of their Wookey Hole Cave Aged Cheddar this year.
The traditional cheesemaker says customers can't get enough of the creamy, tangy farmhouse flavour and its nutty top which is matured in the Caves at Wookey Hole cross county in Somerset.
Mike Pullin, who came up with the idea for maturing cheddar in Wookey Hole said;
'Since we started making the cheddar, demand has increased dramatically year on year to this amazing zenith this Christmas. We are now producing 500 tonnes of our 27kg traditional cheddars every year. It has a distinctive, creamy and tangy farmhouse flavour with a smooth and open texture but combined with added earthy and nutty top notes which come directly from the Cave.'
Wookey Hole Cave Aged Cheddar is widely available through supermarkets and independent specialist retailers.
