Changing Faces at Weymouth BID
8:37am 19th December 2013
The Weymouth BID has not one but two new chair people in charge.
Barrie Huett has stepped down as intended.
Mr Huett said " I have been involved with the BID since its first meeting in October 2011 and have really appreciated the support my employers Albert Goodman have given me and the BID to reach this stage. I took over as Chair in June 2013 following the Yes vote and feel that with the completion of 100 day plan it is a good time for me to stand down and let others lead the BID into this new stage."
Alison Theobald from Pennywise and Alistair Clarke of Dean & Reddyhoff Marina will jointly take up the role - in recognition of the workload involved.
Alison said "I am pleased to take on the position of joint Chair with Alistair and I look forward to working with my colleagues on the board who are responsible for delivering the BID business plan."
Alistair Clarke from Dean & Reddyhoff Marinas added "The proposal to have joint Chairs was agreed by the Board who recognised the workload involved I look forward to working with Alison to support the BID. I would like to thank Barrie and Albert Goodman for their support."
Steve Newstead of Weatherspoons is the new Vice Chair.
Weymouth BID report they've so far completed all their targets within their first 100 days which included putting on Victorian Shownight.
The BID will be inviting levy payers to meetings in January 2014 at Weymouth Pavilion to present the plans for 2014 and to provide the opportunity for feedback from levy payers to the Board.
