Strong Winds Brings Weymouth Train to a Halt

SW Trains 2

10:47am 19th December 2013
(Updated 10:49am 19th December 2013)

Last night’s high winds have brought down a number of large branches and blown debris across the roads in Dorset.

A train bound for Weymouth had to be stopped on the tracks last night after it hit a tree that had fallen after being battered by the rain and wind.

Passengers were stuck on board for over 2 hours.

There have been no reports of any injuries or serious flooding following the adverse weather conditions across Dorset.
