£ 100k For Dorset Churches

Churches Puddletown Church

12:03am 22nd December 2013

£100,000 in grant money was handed out to churches across Dorset this year.

The funding came from the Dorset Historic Churches Trust and paid for vital repairs, maintenance and restoration work.

More than 22 churches in the county benefit - including Milton Abbey and Puddletown church.

Simon Pomeroy, Chairman of Dorset Historic Churches Trust (DHCT), commented: "The Dorset Historic Churches Trust has enjoyed a very successful year and we're thrilled to have been able to help preserve beautiful churches across Dorset for future generations to enjoy. The repair works we help fund are often desperately needed and we rely on fundraising activity and donations by the Friends of the Dorset Historic Churches Trust to make our work possible."
