11:28am 23rd December 2013

Dorset and much of the UK is expected to take a bettering from heavy rain and high winds this lunchtime (Monday 23rd December).

The MET Office has a number of severe weather warnings are in place.

The storm is forecast to blanket much of the county after 12pm through the afternoon.

South West Trains has cancelled a number of trains including the 1303 from Weymouth through Dorchester to Bournemouth.

The rail operator has told Wessex FM they're running a revised timetable and if we need to make a journey, we should do it sooner rather than later.
