Thieves Steal Precious Photographs

Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a theft from a vehicle in Moreton.

The incident, in which an unattended blue LandRover Defender 90 was broken into between 1:10pm and 3:20pm on Saturday 28 December 2013 while the vehicle was parked on the track leading to the ford in the town.

A brown Mulberry satchel handbag containing a brown Mulberry purse and Mulberry filofax were stolen.

Police Constable Adam Bayliss, of Weymouth police, said: "The items that were stolen were of high value and included photos of a sentimental value to the owner.

"I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the theft, or has information about those responsible or the whereabouts of the items to contact Dorset Police as soon as possible.

"I would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered such items for sale in strange circumstances or for an unusually low price."

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101, quoting incident number 28:234 Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
