A Dorset hotel's on standby to receive evacuees if this morning's high tide threatens homes.
Some residents of Chiswell on Portland who initially went to the Portland Heights Hotel because of the threat of flooding.
have since returned home, but hotel staff this morning stand ready if they're needed to provide shelter again.
Dorset's bracing itself from the next onslaught of wind and waves.
The next high tide's due about now (9AM)
Flood warnings and alerts are in force not only along the whole of the Dorset coast but als as far inland as Beaminster with predicted tidal surges expected to make their way up already swolen rivers.
Meanwhile Dorset County Council's Highways team say motorists shouldn't drive through deep flood water ... You could lose your car.
