Thieves Ransack Building Site

Thieves have ransacked a building site at the old fire station on Bridport Road in Dorchester.

They got into the Churchill Homes development by climbing a fence sometime overnight on Wednesday and into the early hours of Thursday morning this week.

They stole tools stole hand and electrical tools, including a Makita and a Bosch drill, with battery packs. They also took a large quantity of metal, including 4 x brass dry riser valves, 40 metres of copper tubing, copper plumbing fixtures, 6 x rolls of electrical cable and 4 x 19kg bottles of gas.

Police say on the same night 60 litres of diesel was stolen from a JCB park at Castle Close in Dorchester.
