Cabinet to View Radical Budget Saving Plan for Dorset
7:08am 15th January 2014
Dorset County Council's Cabinet will look at a revised report outlining radical changes on how they can save 47 million pounds on the budget, today (Wednesday 15th January).
Last month Leaders sent back a paper on the "Forward Together Programme" asking for more radical savings.
Recommendations due to be outlined later are expected to detail how 90% of the funding gap can be bridged over the next 3 years.
Some services could be outsourced and departments scaled back under money saving measures.
Cabinet will consider the report later.
Forward Together is a programme of organisational change designed to lead the transformation of the County Council into a radical and reforming organisation, able to and do so within significantly reduced financial resources.
