Dorchester Law Firm Supports The Arts
7:51am 23rd January 2014
A Dorchester law firm is helping lift the curtain on a new season of arts in the county town.
Battens Solicitors Charitable Trust is sponsoring Dorchester Arts.
That means we'll be able to enjoy top drama and music performances at Dorchester Arts Centre.
The firm, which has an office in High West Street, set up a trust in 1985 to support community initiatives.
Mark Tattersall, Artistic Director at Dorchester Arts, said: "This support from Battens Solicitors' charitable trust allows us to go above and beyond in terms of staging top class theatre, music and spoken word in our local community.
"We are delighted with the ongoing relationship and very grateful for the support."
Christine Butterfield, Dorchester-based Solicitor in Battens' Wills, Estates and Trusts Department, said: "It is fantastic to see such an exciting programme of entertainment on our doorstep in Dorchester.
"We are delighted to be supporting this great arts scene."
Dorchester Arts' spring season programme is available now from the Arts Centre in School Lane, the Battens office, the Tourist Information Centre and other outlets in town, or via www.dorchesterarts.org.uk
