Man Jailed For Head Butting Police Officer

A Weymouth man who head butted a Police officer has been sentenced to 10 months in prison.
21-year-old Thomas Harvey Ashe lashed out during an incident at 7am in the morning in St Mary Street on Sunday 15th September last year.
Ashe pleaded guilty to actual bodily harm at Dorchester Crown Court.
Detective Constable Declan Cummings, of Weymouth CID, said: "This sentence sends a clear message that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated.
"Dorset Police is working hard together with partner agencies to make the town centre a safer place for people living, working and visiting."
The Crown Prosecution Service prosecutor in the case was Stuart Ellacott.
