A heated debate over controversial plans to hike Portland town council's tax is expected tonight.
Dozens of campaigners are going to turn out for the public meeting with local councillors at All Saints Church.
Residents currently pay around £14 a year but leaders want to raise that figure to £150, that's 1000% increase.
Last week Town Councillor Tim Munro told us the increase was a "done deal" and that the money was to be used for community improvements.
Campaigner Jon Thorner says over 1,400 residents have signed a petition against the tax rise and told us he expects things to get heated tonight, but has appealed for calm;
"I expect adult people to behave; I don't expect it to turn into a bum fight. I want this group to do things properly. You won't anything from bully boy tactics; you won't win nothing by calling people names. You win things by doing things properly and within the guidelines of the law."
The public meeting is being held at All Saints Church, Easton at 7pm.
