A 16th century Dorset Inn mentioned by writer Thomas Hardy has won a GOLD Taste of The West Award.
The Acorn Inn at Evershot won high praise for sourcing local produce for their menu.
Jack and Alex Mackenzie who run the pub say they're lucky to have access to suppliers like Capreolus Fine Foods in Rampisham; who swept the board last year, winning Gold for every product they entered for judging, Longman Cheese, Samways Fish Merchants and Evershot's very own bakery.
"We shout about local sourced products on all of our menus as we are so proud to be able to have access to such amazing suppliers."
The awards recognise the use and promotion of goods and products from the West country as well as the quality of the food, presentation, service and value for money of dishes.
